The NHL is excited to announce that the 2018-19 season will be its first with a Stanley Cup-winning team.
The 20th season will feature the Anaheim Ducks, the Stanley Cup champions in 2009 and 2010.
The Ducks won the Stanley Cups in 2014 and 2017.
The 2019-20 season will mark the last of the current dynasty seasons.
In 2020, the Anaheim and Calgary Flames will join the NHL, and the Calgary Stampeders will leave the league.
The 2018-2019 NHL season kicks off on February 16 and will run through April 3, with regular season games scheduled for March 4 and April 14.

The 2017-18 season featured four teams that finished the regular season in the Stanley’s top five and one team that finished in the top five.
The Los Angeles Kings, Nashville Predators, San Jose Sharks, and Florida Panthers were among the five teams to make the Stanley final, while the New Jersey Devils and St. Louis Blues finished in fifth and sixth place.
