Animator and futurist Alain Pang, who created the robot characters of Aelita and Farscape, is currently working on a new project called Animo.
Pang says his animators are trying to create realistic, “realistic” images of the characters in a way that is not only “human” but also “computer-generated.”
Pang wants to create a new kind of “creative animation” that can “enjoy a lot of creative freedom,” and is aiming to bring to market “animation that is very realistic, with a human face, and very animated.”
He explains that the new project is in its early stages, and that the team is currently looking for investors.
The team’s goal, according to Pang: “Animo is a tool that can create animated, human-like images that have been rendered on a computer using software and hardware.
This is something that will never be possible in the real world, but it will be possible with Animo.”
