Welcome to the World of Dos Card Game
It’s time to get ready to learn a new card game known as Dos. Dos is an easy to pick up, fast-paced game of luck and skill that can be played by two or more players. This game is great for family game nights and also makes an entertaining drinking game.
Steps to Playing Dos Card Game
- Assign cards to players: one player will be “dealer” and the rest will be “player”. Deal two cards to each player, including the dealer. Keep all cards face down.
- Find the highest card: the player with the highest card is the dealer for the first round. The player who has the highest card is also the starting player for the first round. Any player who has a card of equal value to the winning card is also considered a “player” for the first round.
- The dealer initiates the play: the dealer flips up the first card and the players must decide what to do. There are three possible outcomes: the player can either match the card the dealer flips, opt-out of the round, or recognize the round as a bonus and determine who gets the bonus points.
- Play continues: once a player opts out or receives the bonus, the dealer continues to flip cards up until all players have opted out or received the bonus. The last player to opt out or receive the bonus is the loser.
- Scoring: players receive one point for each card they match and the bonus is served by the player who opts out first.
- End of round: when all players have opted out or received the bonus, the round is over and it’s time to start a new round!
Tips for Playing Dos Card Game
- Be aware of the cards that are left: it’s important for players to be aware of which cards are still in play.
- Pay attention to the number of points: try to keep track of the number of points each player has so that you can better plan your strategy.
