How to Start a New Game in Pokémon X
Pokémon X is one of the most popular and acclaimed titles of the long-running franchise. If you’re new to the world of Pokémon and want to start a new adventure, this guide will help you get started.
Things you’ll need:
- A copy of Pokémon X for Nintendo 3DS
- An Action Replay or game save editor
- A Fan Patched version of the game (recommended)
Step 1: Download the Patch
The first step is to download a Fan Patched version of the game. This will give you access to additional content, such as new gym leaders and post-game battles. It’s a great way to get more out of the game with minimal effort. You can find download links for the patches online.
Step 2: Delete Your Old Save File
Once you’ve downloaded the patch, you will need to delete your old save file. To do this, press the Home button on your 3DS and select the Save Data tab. Select the Pokémon X icon and select “Delete” to remove your old save file.
Step 3: Apply the Patch
Now you’re ready to apply the patch. To do this, unzip the patch file and copy the contents onto your 3DS’s SD card. Then, insert the SD card into your 3DS and boot up the game. The patch should automatically apply and you should see a “Fan Patch Applied” message when the game loads.
Step 4: Start a New Game
Once the patch is applied, you’ll need to start a new game in order to access all of the content. To do this, select “New Game” from the title screen and follow the on-screen instructions. When you’re asked to enter your name and gender, make sure you choose the correct ones so that you can access the post-game content.
