Wolfenstein Games in Order
Wolfenstein is a series of shooter games developed and published by Bethesda Softworks. The series consists of nine main titles and several spin-offs. It is one of the earliest first-person shooter games, and its influence on the gaming industry is undeniable. Here is a list of all the games in the Wolfenstein series in chronological order:
Wolfenstein 3D (1992)
The original game in the series, Wolfenstein 3D, was released in May 1992 for MS-DOS. It was developed by ID Software and introduced the world to intense first-person shooter gameplay. In the game, the player takes on the role of William “B.J.” Blazkowicz, an allied spy sent to escape from a Nazi castle.
Spear of Destiny (1992)
Spear of Destiny is an expansion pack to Wolfenstein 3D, released in September 1992. It continued the story of William Blazkowicz as he goes in search of the Spear of Destiny. The game featured 20 levels and bosses, as well as improved graphics and sound.
Wolfenstein: The Nocturnal Missions (1993)
The Nocturnal Missions is a set of three expansions to Spear of Destiny. It was released in 1993 and featured new levels and enemies, as well as improved graphics and sound.
Wolfenstein 3D: Spear of Destiny Mission Pack (1994)
This mission pack was released in 1994, and added 6 more levels to Spear of Destiny.
Wolfenstein: The Old Blood (2013)
This installment was released in May 2015 and was developed by MachineGames. The game is a prequel to Wolfenstein: The New Order and is set in 1946. The game once again puts players in control of William Blazkowicz and his mission to steal the coordinates to General Deathshead’s compound.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus (2017)
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is the sequel to Wolfenstein: The New Order and was released in October 2017 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The game follows William Blazkowicz in an alternate 1961 as he takes on the Nazi regime.
Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot (2019)
Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot is a virtual reality spin-off game that was released in July 2019 for PlayStation VR, HTC Vive, and Oculus Rift. The player takes on the role of a hacker in 1980s Paris who helps the French Resistance fight the Nazis.
Wolfenstein: Youngblood (2019)
The latest installment in the series is Wolfenstein: Youngblood, which was released in July 2019 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The game is set 19 years after Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and follows the twin daughters of William Blazkowicz, as they go in search of their missing father.
