ESPN’s College GameDay, one of the staple programs on ESPN, travels to different college campuses across the country each week. The show culminates on Saturday when it’s time to pick winners and losers in the NCAA. Where will they be this week? Read on.
This Week’s College GameDay Location
This week ESPN College Gameday is heading to the UNC-Chapel Hill “Heel-Bowl”. This game pits the UNC Tar Heels against the Duke Blue Devils for the top spot in the ACC Coastal Division. ESPN is no stranger to this game, and the game’s importance is only further accentuated by the success of both teams this season.
Big Games on Tap This Week
Aside from the Heel-Bowl, there are several other notable matchups on the docket this week. These include:
- Michigan Wolverines vs. Penn State Nittany Lions: This Big Ten matchup may be less important for the College Football Playoff landscape and more for bragging rights in the northeast. Each team has a lot to prove, and the Wolverine-led defense will have quite the challenge on their hands in Beaver Stadium.
- USC Trojans vs. Notre Dame Fighting Irish: This game marks the end of the regular season, and something special is on the line for the Trojans. If they win, they will be Pac-12 champions for the first time in 18 years.
- Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Auburn Tigers: The Iron Bowl is always one of the biggest games of the season, and this year it has huge playoff implications.
As you can see, this week is going to be exciting! The Three biggest games of the week are the Heel-Bowl, the matchup between Michigan and Penn State, and the Iron Bowl. Be sure to tune in as ESPN College Gameday travels to Chapel Hill and the top teams in college football battle it out!
