Army Navy Game: Navy Comes Out On Top
Today, the 120th annual Army Navy game took place and there was much anticipation leading up to the game on who would come out on top. The Navy Midshipmen faced off against the Army Black Knights at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After a close battle, the Navy Midshipmen emerged the victor with the the final score being 31 -7.
Details of the Match
The Navy didn’t have a lead until the second quarter of the game when quarterback, Malcolm Perry, scored a touchdown and the Navy led 7-0. Perry then later scored another touchdown as well during the third quarter and the Navy widened their lead. Perry also set a record for most rushing yards in the Army Navy game with an astounding 304 yards, surpassing the previous record by Heisman Trophy finalist and Army West Point graduate Doc Blanchard who ran for 274 yards back in 1945.
