Jackson State Game
The Jackson State Tigers, a NCAA Division II Class I South Atlantic Conference football team, have had a winning season for 2020.
The Tigers completed their 10-game season with a win over Benedict College in the annual Jackson State game. The game was played in front of a small, socially-distanced crowd of family and friends at the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium on November 21st, 2020.
The game was hard-fought, but the Tigers ultimately came away with the victory. Quarterback Tavaris Young led the way with four touchdowns and 352 yards passing with no interceptions. The Tigers recorded four interceptions and five sacks on defense to lead the way for the victory.
The Tigers ended their season with an 8-2 record. They began their season with a win against Florida A&M, but lost their second game against Concordia College. The Tigers then went on a seven game winning streak before losing to Virginia Union in the final game of the regular season.
The Jackson State Tigers are now looking forward to the NCAA Division II tournament. The team is confident that they can make a deep run in the tournament and bring home a championship.

The Jackson State Tigers are entering the 2021 NCAA Division II tournament with a lot of confidence and the knowledge that they can make a deep run. They have the skill, talent, and the experience to make a run at the championship title.
