Tennessee Wins Tennessee – Georgia Game 56-24.
The Tennessee Volunteers defeated the Georgia Bulldogs 56-24 in Knoxville on Saturday, November 2, 2019, in front of a large crowd of spectators.
The Volunteers and Bulldogs entered the game as two of the best teams in the SEC East, making this a high-stakes showdown. The UT offense was able to establish a strong presence early, scoring on their first two possessions to set the tone for the game.
Tennessee Offense Overpowers Georgia
The Volunteers’ offense continued to dominate throughout the contest, as quarterback Jarrett Guarantano threw for over 250 yards and three touchdowns. Running back Ty Chandler also had a standout day, totaling 133 rushing yards and two scores.
Tennessee’s offensive attack was too much for the Bulldogs to handle, as the defense had no answers for the high-powered offense. The Vols were able to put the game out of reach by the 4th quarter, scoring 21 points in the fourth to take a commanding 56-24 lead.
Notable Performances From Tennessee and Georgia
The Volunteers had a number of impressive performances Saturday, including Guarantano’s three touchdown passes. wide receiver Marquez Callaway was also a big contributor, with five receptions for 134 yards and one touchdown.
On the Georgia side of the ball, running back D’Andre Swift had a big game, totaling 104 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Wide receiver Lawrence Cager also had a solid performance, with six receptions for 80 yards and one touchdown.

Tennessee’s offense proved to be too much for the Bulldogs, as they were able to establish a lead early and never looked back. With the win, the Volunteers improved to 7-3 on the season and kept their hopes of playing in a New Year’s Six bowl alive.
